D E T A I L S
Salvia Caradonna has glowing purple stems loaded with violet-purple flowers that bloom from June to October. With its gray-green aromatic foliage this beautiful plant quickly matures in its first year, growing between two and three feet tall. Purple blossoms attract bees and butterflies to your garden. Deer resistant.

Days to Germination: 7-14 days in temperatures of 65-70°F may be longer in cooler temperatures
Lifecycle: perennial
Sunlight: full, part sun
Height: 1-3 ft
Spread: 6-12"
Bloom time: early summer, mid summer, late summer
Special notes: Seeds come housed in papery seed bracts. In order for these seeds to germinate more quickly seeds should be removed from the bracts by crumbling them between your fingers to allow the seeds to fall free of the bracts. Seeds may need light for germination.

H O W TO P L A N T
Sow seeds in fall or spring, cover lightly with soil or not at all. Blossoms will flower throughout the summer and into early fall if spent blooms are removed. Grows back year after year as well as freely self seeds, but is not aggressive. A hardy variety which winters over in our Zone 4.
