Shaving soap, Hemlock + Tea Tree scented, cold process soap bar
While we’ve changed its name, the soap is the same. We used to say this soap was scented with spruce, but that’s not entirely accurate. Spruce essential oil is made by steam distilling the needles and twigs of Tsuga Canadensis (Eastern Hemlock). So we’ve updated the name of this soap to more accurately reflect its ingredients. And we’ve added tea tree and spearmint essential oils for additional healing and restorative properties.
Organic coconut oil cleanses and creates a quick fluffy lather, and along with organic + sustainable palm kernel oil, make a hard bar of soap. Olive oil and avocado oil are gentle on skin. Our shaving soap gets its natural earthy color from bentonite clay which gives it that slick feeling when used, helping the blade glide over skin for a clean, close shave. It is lightly scented with tea tree, hemlock, and spearmint essential oil.

For best results, wet skin and keep soap relatively dry. Rub soap directly onto skin in small concentric circles and then continue to build up lather with fingers in a similar circular fashion.

BENTONITE CLAY: Is made from volcanic ash and has a range of nutrients and minerals including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, silica, and sodium. When water is added to clay it binds to toxins helping to expel them from the skin. Bentonite clay helps to increase healing, reduces inflammation and blemishes, redness, and skin irritation.
OLIVE OIL: Is naturally anti-bacterial and helps to reduce your skin’s barriers, allowing more moisturizing oils to penetrate your skin. Olive oil contains antioxidants and vitamin E which help protect the skin from premature aging, Vitamin E helps to restore skin smoothness and protects against UV Light. When used in tandem with exfoliants, such as the herbs in our cold process soaps, olive oil helps to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells.
COCONUT OIL: Is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and moisturizing, which helps to cleanse and soothe the skin. Coconut oil contains 3 fatty acids: capric acid, lauric acid and caprylic acid, each of which kill candida, a common cause of fungal infection. Coconut Oil contains Vitamin E which helps to restore dry skin by strengthening skin tissue and eliminating dead skin cells, helping to protect skin from damage over time.
PALM + PALM KERNEL OILS: Contain powerful antioxidants which help protect skin from damage. A natural source of Vitamins A, C, and E. Not only do palm and palm kernel oils have the ability to remove oil and dirt from hair and skin, but they simultaneously help restore natural oils that have been lost. AVOCADO OIL: Contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents which helps skin stay smooth, strong, and elastic. Avocado oil contains beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E which helps to replenish dry and chapped skin as well as calm itchy skin. Avocado oil is naturally moisturizing, helps to shield skin from UV light.
