Most factory made soaps remove glycerin, which is a natural byproduct of the soap making process. Soaps lacking in glycerin cause skin dryness and irritation. The glycerin removed from soaps is then added to lotion products. Now you find yourself buying two products instead of one. Our handmade cold process soaps retain their natural glycerin which makes them naturally moisturizing and non drying.
 

Manufactured moisturizers contain chemicals that make skin overly dependent on them, throwing off skin's natural balance. If you are able to use cold process soap exclusively, it is most likely that you won't need moisturizer, but we know that's not always possible. We make our balms and salves with vegetable oils and butters that work with your skin's defenses to restore moisture and balance.
